A Nutcracker Suite
Two bassoons
Two bassoons, five familiar dances and absolutely no need for a larger orchestra! This intermediate arrangement brings together five favourites from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker: March, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Chinese Dance, Trepak and Dance of the (Double) Reed Pipes.
Written for one Sweet Bassoon and one Magic Bassoon, this playful suite gives both players plenty to enjoy, from delicate fairytale elegance to full-blooded Russian dance rhythms. A wonderfully entertaining addition to Advent, Christmas, holiday and New Year concerts — and a chance for the bassoon family to take centre stage.
Score and parts included.
