Venice isn’t a place on a map to us, Venice is a feeling.
We love the city and it feels like home.
It is easy to have a bad experience, and we do hear you if you say ‘I visited once, once was enough.’ We didn't go looking for Venice. We went looking for somewhere to spend a birthday. Venice quietly became part of our lives instead.

The first time we visited, two weeks after the 2019 Acqua Grande, we arrived in the rain, and walked six miles around the city the next day, exploring all the corners where musicians lived and worked over several centuries of music-making. We were hooked.

Some of our ‘Field Notes’ are written as love letters to Venice.
